FREE Reiki Request Update!

Hi everyone!
If you're on my email list, you recently saw a newsletter with a free offering for a Community Reiki Request Bowl! I specifically mentioned that any request is welcome, talked a little about consent and how energy healing works, and also mentioned that I don't have the capacity to hold heavy details right now. I do have the capacity to give back in this small way.
A few people texted me or even told me in person that they didn't send in a request because they didn't want to be a burden. I PROMISE I've gotten REALLY good at boundaries (thank you, Saturn Return), and I'm making it very clear that I would love to add your request to the bowl. Just don't tell me the details of your dog's surgery or your upcoming ingrown toenail removal. I love you, but I don't need the play-by-play.
Since I signed my last email "Rachael takesherownadvice Basham," I'm back again...taking my own advice and moving forward in a messy, imperfect way that I might change if this doesn’t feel easy or sustainable for me! I am not tech-savvy, nor do I wish to be (I didn’t really need to say that, I’m sure you can tell), but I do wish for community, connection, and giving back in a way that helps people feel seen, heard, and supported. I’m gonna figure out how to do that without stabbing my eyeballs out! I am determined!
The thing: posting blog update(s)(?) might be just this one lol and that’s ok!!!! I tried!!
Remember, I enjoy energy healing, painting, collecting seashells and the wings off dead cicadas. NOT sending emails or staring at my computer screen. BUT...I will persevere. Thank you for calling me so brave because truly, I am.
The real info: I’m sharing an update about the Reiki Request Bowl!
I wanted to create an intentional container for your requests, so I wrote each one down by hand and folded them into little paper stars. They aren't the cutest paper stars because I got my nails done again for the first time in three and a half years ~Self-care queen loading~ but nevertheless, they have star power energy!!
I also filled the bowl with a few meaningful items. These aren't the only uses or meanings behind these herbs, flowers, crystals, and little treasures, and I'm definitely not claiming to be an expert. They're simply the intentions I chose to place into the bowl.
• Cinnamon: abundance, success
• Dried navel orange: happiness, cleansing
• Dried apple: knowledge, clarity, harvesting the fruits of your labor
• Dried roses and rose petals: love, luck, trust
• Dried four-leaf clovers: luck, divine timing, manifestation
• Dried yarrow: healing, intuition
• Feathers: divine communication
• Seashell: cleansing, emotional strength, intuition
• Salt: protection
• Mint: abundance
• Lavender: peace
• 17 cents (look up 17 seconds - Abraham Hicks): manifestation, vibration raising
• Rose quartz (2): double the love, self-love, compassion
• Pyrite: abundance, confidence, manifestation
• Black tourmaline: grounding, protection, coming home to yourself
• Blue kyanite: clarity and finding your true path
• Tiger's eye: courage, confidence, personal power
• Amethyst: peace, spiritual awareness, wisdom
• Silver bell: cleansing and purification
I first emailed about the Reiki Request Bowl on Saturday, June 13. I thought I'd wait a few days to give everyone time to send more requests, but then a lovely friend replied that her daughter was giving birth on M O N D A Y, so y'all KNOW I went to WORK!!!
WE INTERRUPT THIS BROADCASTING FOR AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
DING DING DING REMINDER: take what resonates, leave the rest! There’s no right or wrong! You know yourself!! Intuitive messages are not Reiki!!!! Cards are not Reiki!!!! Reiki is energy healing and works on its own!!!!!! You get to choose what you want to apply to you! It works no matter what!!!!! Don’t tweak!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE KEEP IT COOL! CHILL! (me, screaming at you to take the advice I need to take).
Okay...now I think most of you know by now that I also receive intuitive messages and enjoy working with cards and crystals. And you know to either vibe with it or respectfully leave it! xoxo!
Here's what came through for Sunday, June 14th:
Theme: The Hive
May we all be happy. May we all be healthy. May we all believe we are worthy. May we all receive everything we need and more. May we remain open to receiving and sharing with love and ease. Hoarding resources will never save us from lack, but sharing abundance multiplies it. Find your light. Find your fire. Use it to light the candle in someone else. You lose nothing and gain everything.

DING DING DING. CHECKING IN! Reiki is energy healing and stands on its own. You get to decide what, if anything, applies to your life.
OKAY then I took a vacay to the beach! As for the Reiki bowl everything stayed the same except I added a few more requests and tucked in part of a sand dollar I found when we got back.
Sand dollar intention: Transformation, rebirth, healing, and renewal.
This session was on Tuesday, June 23rd. This time I pulled several cards, all from different decks, and I couldn't get over how well they fit together.

In conclusion, (but the conclusion doesn’t seem that related but it is, and I think I would grade this conclusion poorly if I were still a high school English teacher, but I’m not and I have free will on my OWN BLOG),
Today is 6/26/26, and a dear friend pointed out that it's a palindrome date. Naturally, I Googled it. The themes I kept seeing were manifestation, emotional alignment, balance, and the idea that our outer world reflects our inner world. The number 6 repeats throughout today's date and is often associated with love, healing, relationships, nurturing, and finding balance between our spiritual path and everyday life.
So today I'm emotionally aligning by publishing this imperfect blog post instead of waiting until it's "better." I'm choosing progress over perfection and trusting that sharing imperfectly is better than not sharing at all.
