I have done so many Reiki sessions for the Reiki Bowl over the last few weeks, but since we are nearing one month since my last blog post, I thought I'd share a mini reading along with a card pull from one of those sessions.
Even MORE vulnerable of me, I am sharing two poems! Very few people in my life know I write poetry, and I share it with even fewer people. I shared one with a friend recently, and she really encouraged me to share them with others because the words made her feel so seen. I LOVED getting that feedback!

The polite version: These poems are something I don't share often, and I'm choosing to share them from a really vulnerable place. I would genuinely love to hear if they resonated with you, but I'm not looking for writing critiques. Thank you for honoring that.
How I actually feel: I am NOT looking for ANY criticism on my writing!!!!!! I am sharing vulnerably, but I am not open to hearing your dislikes. As a Sagittarius, I want your compliments! Or to know if the poems resonated, as well as the messages from the cards or the mini reading, but PLEASE do not feel obligated to share if you don't feel called to! Now that we got that out of the way, I am continuing my vulnerability by sharing the audio recordings of the reading since that is how I typically conduct my distance Reiki sessions, and it is WAY less for me to type!! AND ANOTHER layer of vulnerability, I am posting videos of me reading the poems!!! These poems felt relevant in connection to the Reiki session + reading, and also at the urge of a friend when I shared, for the first time, one of my poems. She said it made her feel seen and would be healing for others to hear. Maybe I'll share that specific poem soon!
MORE DISCLAIMERS: Reiki is NOT intuitive messages, readings, card pulls, crystals, etc. It is healing energy! Reiki still works without all of these things. I simply choose to use them in my Reiki practice. These messages DO NOT have to resonate with you 100%, 50%, or at all for Reiki to work! PLEASE trust your inner knowing and interpret them however you wish!
ANOTHA ONE: I am NOT a traditional tarot reader! I read the cards intuitively and use them as a channel for intuitive messages from the Divine for the highest and best healing good that exists within God's loving light. (My verbiage, but you do you, boo, like alwayssss!) Please feel free to look at these cards before you hear my interpretation and do your own reading. You know yourself best!

REIKI SESSION!
Something crazy I noticed was that the initial intuitive voice memo I recorded for the session was at 3:11 p.m., and it was the 111th voice memo recorded at my house! (I blacked out the address in the picture, of course.) If you're an angel numbers person, check out the meaning of 111!
I spoke about seeing concentric circles. I drew up a diagram here because the one in my journal was too atrocious to even begin to decipher. I hope you can understand what I was seeing! I'm NOT saying to drop everyone in your life, but allow yourself the choice to choose who gets full access to you and what level of depth and access you're comfortable receiving from others!
I pulled some cards, and what do you know?! What popped out?! THE SUN CARD when I spoke about us as the center of our own solar system, and THEN THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE! Look at the match in symbolism!!! I was so blown away, but also super validated by the messages that came through! What is SO wild to me are the cards that came after I talked about the circles!
POEMS
"The River in Me" by Rachael Basham
This poem was written in November of 2025! I wrote it while I was processing and deciphering, and honestly I still am, my identity and who I get to choose to be.
There is so much power in choice. We often don't get to choose the childhood we had or have control over certain experiences, but we do get to analyze each droplet our life experiences add to the river of our soul and decide if we want it to become part of us, shape us, or remain separate from us. We get to choose how our own river flows and how our soul exists in the world.
This was a time of evaluation for me, of going within and releasing old stories that were resurfacing and seeming to compound upon each other. It was really me realizing that pretending hard things didn't happen to me was invalidating myself and making each new difficult situation that much worse and more difficult to process. It felt like drowning from the inside out.
I needed to sit with each metaphorical droplet and allow myself the choice to decide how it fit into my river, into my life, my existence, my story, my identity. To allow it to shape me, teach me, and then release it if I chose to. It was so freeing to experience the power of choice we have over our lives.
I am still working through this process, but I will say I am getting quicker at noticing the droplets I choose to keep and the ones I choose to lovingly release so that my river can flow more cleanly with peace and ease.

It had me thinking about how strong and brave a caterpillar has to be to crawl up so high, wrap itself in a cocoon away from the busy world, and literally experience a partial death before reemerging into this world completely changed!
How scary would it be if you suddenly had the urge to hibernate for months, withdraw into yourself, and came back to your job, society, your friends, and your family as a literal different being? That is truly how I feel probably every 2.5 to 3 years!
WHAT are the people who knew me as XYZ version of myself going to think when they see I've changed? Will they like me? Reject me? What if I don't want to change? But like the caterpillar, I know I have to. I have to release those old versions and habits. Every iteration of me was a good person. She was trying her best, and each new version learned from her predecessor.
This poem also speaks to the strength it takes to withdraw from a hard world, to protect your needs and boundaries, and to know that when you make it out on the other side, you're going to fly!
Does the world feel too heavy? Too much? Do you feel drained? What can you release from yourself? What burdens can you set down so you can focus more on becoming who you're being asked to be?
Maybe those who know older versions of you won't be happy or won't accept you. That's tough, but it's okay. It isn't your job to police their choices. It is your job to choose how you want to show up in the world, how you want to feel, and how you want your life to look.
